On December 10, 2009, President Obama met and celebrated this year’s Kennedy Center Honorees – Dave Brubeck, Mel Brooks, Grace Bumbry, Robert DeNiro, and Bruce Springsteen. The ceremony acknowledges the work of five great American performing artists and their contribution to American cultural life.
